Join us as The New York Comedy Club & Pinch Records continue to record the funniest live albums in comedy.Tonight's Album: Chris ScopoBorn and raised in Queens, Chris threw himself into the fire of the New York comedy scene a year after graduating from college, which he still apologizes to his parents to this day because they paid for it. Since starting comedy, Chris has performed at some of the best clubs, not only in New York, but across the country. In August of 2013, Chris had the privilege of joining one of the most popular podcast’s in the country, Robert Kelly’s “You know What Dude” podcast, where he learned valuable lessons in life and comedy. Since joining the podcast, Chris worked his way to become Producer of the show, a title he currently holds. Along with the YKWD podcast, he also is the co-host of Luis J. Gomez’s “Realass” podcast. Chris has had the honor of opening for top comics such as Robert Kelly, Dan Soder, Andrew Schulz, Joe List and Luis J. Gomez. For all the directors who want to put Chris in movies, he studied two years of acting at Stetson Studio with Ron Stetson of the Neighborhood Playhouse. In those two years, Chris was trained in the Meisner technique by Ron, which he learned first-hand from Sanford Meisner. Comedy veteran Steve Byrne has seemingly done it all and continues to push himself to accomplish even more. Starting over 20 years ago and cutting his teeth in all the major clubs in NYC, including the Comedy Cellar, he then ventured off to Los Angeles, began working at the Comedy Store and Hollywood Improv, and his career really took off. After becoming a regular on the late-night talk show circuit and even doing "The Tonight Show" ten times, Steve racked up multiple hour specials on Comedy Central, Netflix, and Showtime. In 2012, he starred in, produced and wrote the TBS hit show "Sullivan & Son", which ran for 3 seasons. Through the show, he cultivated a deep appreciation for storytelling, and in 2019 released his first film, "Always Amazing", a documentary about comic/magician the Amazing Johnathan. In 2020, Steve wrote and directed the indie feature "The Opening Act", his love letter to stand-up comedy, that garnered critic and audience ratings on Rotten Tomatoes at 82 and 83% Fresh. In 2022, he released his fifth hour special, "The Last Late Night", on Amazon Prime, his most innovative work to date and rated 5/5 stars – an hour special disguised as a late-night talk show. Eric Neumann is one of the fastest-rising standup comedians in the United States. In February 2022, he made his late-night debut on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on NBC. He has recorded three albums/specials, Nervous Lover, Just A Phase, and, most recently, But Enough About Me: A Crowd Work Album. All three reached number 1 on the iTunes Comedy Charts and are currently playing on Sirius XM Radio. He has appeared on Season 3 of Comedy Central’s This Week at the Comedy Cellar, as well as Season 1 of The Iliza Shlesinger Sketch Show on Netflix. In 2021, he was featured in The Jerusalem Post as “one of the Jewish comedians who stayed relevant during the Covid-19 pandemic.” He is currently on a headlining tour performing at major comedy clubs across the country. When not touring, Eric lives in Manhattan, where he is a regular at the Comedy Cellar.
