There are nearly 24000 homeless children in New York City, this number exceeds the number of single homeless adults (around 14000). Homeless children are the fastest growing segment among homeless population in NYC. There has been a 40% increase in last 5 years. If this trend continues, we could be looking at 30000 homeless children in the city in the next 5 years. Homelessness is a trauma for these children and it occurs when their cognitive skills are still developing (there are more homeless children in first grade than any other) which leads to problems in their health, social development and education later in life.

Let’s create a possibility that we don't have homeless children in NYC, a possibility for the kids to have shelter, security, love, joy, fun, dignity and just be normal kids who don't know what being homeless means.
