BAFTA-winning comedian Iain Stirling is best known as the acclaimed voice of the hit reality shows Love Island (ITV2) and spin off series Love Island USA (Peacock). He appeared on series 8 of Taskmaster (C4/Dave), and for seven series hosted ITV2’s comedy entertainment show, CelebAbility. Currently Iain hosts Murder They Wrote, a hit UK true-crime podcast alongside his wife, Laura Whitmore, on BBC Sounds.
Iain wrote, created and starred in two series of his own comedy sitcom, Buffering (ITV2) and his first stand-up special Failing Upwards launched on Amazon Prime Video in over 200 countries and territories. In 2024 Iain will once again be hitting the roads of the UK and Ireland with his brand-new show Relevant in his biggest tour to date.
Iain has recently appeared on The Lateish Show with Mo Gilligan, Celebrity Gogglebox (Channel 4), Richard Osman’s House of Games (BBC2), Blankety Blank, Michael McIntyre’s The Wheel (BBC1), and Rod Gilbert’s Growing Pains (Comedy Central). This adds to an extensive list of television credits including, Taskmaster Series 8, The Great British Bake Off: An Extra Slice (Channel 4), The Russell Howard Hour (Sky Max), Comedians Watching Football with Friends (Sky One), The Jonathan Ross Show, The Chase: Celebrity Special, Celebrity Catchphrase (ITV), Pointless Celebrities, Saturday Kitchen, The One Show (BBC1), The Comedy Bus, Russell Howard’s Stand Up Central, The Chris Ramsey Show, Drunk History, and The Comedy Store (Comedy Central).
Iain co-wrote and hosted six series of the comedy panel show The Dog Ate My Homework (CBBC) which saw him win 2018’s RTS Scotland’s On Screen Personality and 2017’s Children’s BAFTA Best Presenter Award (2017).
As a football fan Iain is a regular commentator on UNICEFs Soccer Aid annual appeal. He is also the author of the book Not Ready to Adult Yet which was published through HarperCollins, along with a companion podcast of the same name.
