Jaye McBride is a smart, hilarious, and proudly transgender comedian based in Brooklyn, New York. She made history as the first openly transgender comedian to perform at Madison Square Garden and is a regular at New York City’s renowned Comedy Cellar. In 2021, she was selected as one of the “New Faces” at the Just For Laughs Comedy Festival and has also performed at the Boston Comedy Festival and Limestone Comedy Festival. Beyond stand-up, Jaye is a passionate advocate and speaker who travels across the country to speak at high schools, colleges, and organizations about her experiences as a transgender woman and the challenges faced by trans youth. Having transitioned in 2007, she offers a personal and insightful perspective on topics such as dating, family relationships, identity, and self-acceptance. Originally from Upstate New York, Jaye now lives in Brooklyn, NY, where she continues to perform and connect with audiences through her comedy and advocacy.
