Tu Rae is an accomplished stand-up comedian, writer, producer, and veteran performer whose comedy career began at Philadelphia’s renowned Laff House Comedy Club. A Stand-Up NBC finalist and HBO Comedy Wings champion, he has built an impressive career with television appearances on Comics Unleashed, Comedy Central’s “Gotham Live,” HBO’s “All Def Comedy,” Starz’s “First Amendment Standup,” and Fox’s “Laughs TV.” Tu Rae has also made his mark in the streaming world, appearing on TIDAL’s “No Small Talk,” KevOnStage’s “Keep Your Distance Comedy,” and “Comedy After Dark.” He was also featured on Netflix through the Sommore-produced “All the Queen’s Men.” A seasoned festival performer, Tu Rae has entertained audiences at events including the Atlantic City Comedy Festival and Martha’s Vineyard Comedy Festival, as well as on celebrity cruises such as the Soul Train Cruise and Tom Joyner’s Fantastic Voyage. Through his production company, ComedyByTuRae Events, he has produced live comedy albums, including “Tu Rae: Live at the Atlanta Comedy Theater” and “A Comedy Album.” He also produces the successful weekly @SoulComedy showcase and the Throwback Comedy Jam. Tu Rae is the lead instructor at Philadelphia Comedy College, where he shares his experience and expertise with aspiring comedians.
