Richie Redding is one of the funniest guys that you’ve probably never heard of. As a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania it was unlikely that his comedy career start off in urban rooms and burlesque shows, but that’s how it happened. He left the corporate world determined to get paid to have fun which is obvious every time he takes the stage. His set is edgy, high energy and autobiographical, drawing on a lifetime of ridiculous true stories that can only happen to a recovering alcoholic Ivy Leaguer. His boy band looks and colorful word selection have gained him well-deserved attention. In 2012, he was selected to perform in Walter Latham’s Comedy After Dark and became a regular on HOT 97FM. In 2013 he beat out 32 comics from all over the world to win the Bermuda International Comedy Competition and also had his TV debut on AXS TV’s Gotham Live! He has headlined in six foreign countries and also had the honor of being selected to feature in a USO tour of South Korea, entertaining the 30,000 American troops stationed there. 2014 was a pivotal year, as he was hand picked by Katt Williams to be the official host of the Growth Spurt Tour and for the HBO special Priceless. Based on that success, Katt then asked him to be his featured act for the Born Again, Again Tour. His fanbase has grown rapidly since, as he was regularly killing crowds of 10,000 people or more! He continues to be a constant presence in New York’s top clubs, especially after command performances at both the Barclay’s Center and Madison Square Garden.

Mark DeMayo is an accomplished actor/comedian/writer/podcaster. He is a Native New Yorker. Like so many of us, our dreams and ambitions had to be put on a shelf because of the covid-19 pandemic. We have all lost loved ones, soul mates, and friends. Finding the mental strength and fortitude to continue to try and be creative and to entertain had become quite difficult. Mark and his podcast co-host, retired NYPD Homicide Sgt. Bill Cannon chose to put all their efforts into “Police Off the Cuff” and when recording in the studio became unsafe, they could of “taken a break” instead they decided to continue producing POC virtually. Recording live from their homes they were able to get guests on the show from all over the country and world. All their hard work paid off. POC was just ranked 4 th on the “The Top 15 Police Podcast You Must Follow in 2021”. Obviously, not much of any comedy or acting was being done in 2020, but Mark managed to stay somewhat busy by continuing to write material and performing his stand up on some very interesting showcases, including virtual shows, drive-in shows, rooftops, backyard and public park shows. Remember 2019? Weren’t we all on a “roll” back then? Mark was no different. In 2019, Mark made acting appearances on NBC”s Law & Order SVU, as George the Evidence Clerk, CBS’s FBI Most Wanted as Det. Cortez and his aforementioned podcast POC was set to launch nationally on a brand new platform, “Inside Blue 360”. To say that Mark DeMayo is ambitious is an understatement. Not only has he been in the entertainment business for twenty-five years but he was also an NYC Police Officer for twenty of those years. Juggling both careers was never easy, but working hard is what Mark loves to do. Mark started his acting career, studying at the revered HB Studios in NYC. Mark then became a regular player at the Thirteenth Street Repertory Theatre Company. Acting in many original plays and classics such as “Line” by Israel Horowitz. It was the wonderful actor and human being Danny Aiello (may he R.I.P.) that gave Mark his first big break on TV. Casting Mark as a young boxer on his hit CBS primetime drama “DellaVentura”. Mark continued his acting appearing regularly on the soap opera, “As the World Turns” and making guest appearances on TV shows like, “Central Park West” and “The Jury”. It was at this time that Mark started to perform stand-up comedy. Using his NYC observations, attitudes and quick wit Mark DeMayo rose up the comedy ranks quickly. Mark made is stand-up debut on Showtimes “White Boyz in the Hood. Over the next decade, Mark continued to make appearances on national TV with performances on Si-Tv’s Latino Laughter, MTV, VHI, A&E, NBC’s Last Comic Standing, Tidal Network & Comedy Central. In 2012 Mark retired from the NYPD and continued to work on his showbiz career exclusively. Writing and producing his solo show, 20 & Out, a comedy about his career with the NYPD. In 2014 20 & Out was accepted into the NYC Fringe Festival and received rave reviews from critics. In 2016, Mark starred in a successful commercial campaign entitled “The UnMovers” for Optimum. The series of six commercials ran all day, every day on TV’s across the East Coast for over two years. It didn’t take long for Mark to start being recognized in the street. A part of “showbiz” that Mark enjoyed. A payoff for many years of hard work. 2021 is going to be a great year! Enthusiasm and positive energy will be the driving force to getting back to a (new) normal and Mark DeMayo will be one of the entertainers leading the way.
