The newest player on Saturday Night Live, Aristotle Athiras is a Middle Eastern-American comedian, actor, writer, director and podcaster based in Los Angeles. Shortly after getting his start in stand-up comedy, he began writing, performing and directing sketches with future collaborators Hasan Minhaj, Asif Ali and Fahim Anwar to form Goatface — the first and only sketch comedy show on Comedy Central to feature an all Muslim-American cast to date. He has since directed stand-up specials for Comedy Central, Showtime and NBC. In 2019, he was cast in HBO’s Silicon Valley as recurring character, Gabe.
